Earlier this year the BenCham Shanghai (Mariska Kiewiet de Jonge), Philips (Frans Greidanus), Frans van Gunsteren and NOST (Jaap van Etten) sat together to discuss a possible new recurring event for people working in the Shanghai area with a focus on R&D. From this discussion the BenCham Innovation Platform was born. Several events already took place, normally starting with a visit to the event hosting company, followed by a discussion on a R&D related topic. Last Tuesday another Innovation Platform event took place, this time with a small twist: the screening of VPRO’s Tegenlicht documentary ’Holland gets Talent’ was used as a kick-off for the discussion.
Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Mr. Peter Potman gave an opening speech and together with NOST, participated in the discussion on attracting talent for universities and industry.
