Almost 300 scientific projects between Dutch and Chinese universities and knowledge institutions can now be searched online through a website realised by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). This inventory of Sino-Dutch Scientific Cooperation was commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and has resulted in an online database which can be accessed publicly through the following website: http://dcc.nwo.nl
The data on the website was provided by Dutch universities, research institutes of NWO and KNAW, and universities of applied science. Through the website, existing collaborations can be searched by scientific area, Dutch or Chinese partner institution or type of cooperation. According to the website, most Sino-Dutch scientific projects are related to Earth and Life Sciences, followed by social and medical sciences.
At the moment 296 projects and 214 MoUs have been included in the database. Dutch and Chinese institutes are invited to submit new scientific projects to NWO online to keep the database up-to-date. The database is therefore not complete, but gives insight in the focus of Sino-Dutch scientific cooperation.
