Prof. Aalt Willem Heringa from Maastricht University recently published an interesting publication in which he shared his personal observations during his posting as Co-dean of the EU-funded China-EU Law School (CESL). This law school is located within the campus of the China University for Political Science and Law (CUPL) in Beijing.
A wide-range of topics, such as hierarchy, censorship, teaching, PhD graduation ceremonies and law schools are described in a humoristic way. These short and colourful anecdotes are illustrated by the peaceful paintings made by his spouse and painter Hetty Geursen.
